Newbridge Landslide Hazard Assessment Map

This is a post for our first project in creating a map for the Newbridge landslide.  This was a good project that took some time to get everything laid out the way it should be so it looked correct, and was easy to read for the general public.

Blog creation to showcase better map creation!

I am looking forward to this semester and this class.  I have worked in the GIS field for over 15 years and have seen many changes, good changes, phenomenal changes actually! 

I currently manage The North Carolina Arboretum's GIS system as a part of my current job.  The Arboretum's GIS is a specialized AutoCAD and separate database system that was specifically designed for botanic gardens and arboreta.  I work with GIS on a limited basis currently as a result of our staff reductions, so my hope for this class is to keep my skills current and to add to my resume with finishing either one or both certificates.
